Welcome to our stories related to the third theme of our investigation. CLASSROOM emerged from our dialogues as a place where teachers are more than teachers. They are whole beings, trying to meet professional benchmarks, struggling to empower their sense of fairness and appropriateness in order to fulfill student needs. It seems that some of them have given up, they apply rules with no second thoughts. Others are brave; they risk juggling rules, expectations, diversity, faith and intuition; they help us to discover our talents and self confidence, they make us to believe in the mainstream system…more than this, they help us to understand the challenges of trying to be right and fair 100% of the time and what to do when we fail!
We are young adults and adults who attended daily 3 hours morning classes in adult education settings, in 2006, in Canada (Ontario Rainbow District Board Secondary School)
